Current Situation
My boyfriend of 5 months is currently living with me in my aparment. He moved in about 2.5 months ago, because he was kicked out by his roommate with a 2 week notice and completely out of the blue and since then, he has been living with me.
We are both 24 and employed. I work a full time job while he works 15 hours a week but he is also still attending university.
If the reason of why he was kicked out is in any way important please say so and I will update this question. But since it is a long story I will skip this part for now.
I made sure to be clear on what I wanted when he moved in. I told him he could live with me for as long as he liked, but I would prefer it if he would eventually get his own place since our relationship is still very new (I just don't think you should move together after just 3 months). He agreed but also said he would be fine with staying at my place permanently. I didn't say anything to that in response, because I didn't know what to say.
On one hand I know moving together after just 3 months is too soon. But on the other hand we love each other and I feel like we'll be together for a long time anyways. Being with him feels like being with someone I have known for years.
Problems
From time to time I feel like I want an evening to myself.
Since he moved in, I have no alone time anymore. It was a price I had no problems with paying at first (I knew I wouldnt be alone anymore if he moved in), but I am starting to miss a little bit of time to myself sometimes. He doesnt have any friends he could meet up for an evening or any hobbies he could persuade outside, which is why I knew beforehand that things were going to be this way. But since he moved in, I have literally had not a single moment where I was alone in my apartment.
Some of the things he does are unintentionally inconsiderate.
I get up for work at 7, but today he woke up a few minutes before me and took a shower, thus occupying the bathroom. I couldn't get ready in time and arrived 15 minutes late for work. He could have easily just gotten in the shower after I left, since he doesnt work on monday and has no courses either.
There are a few more other small things that annoy me, like the dirty dishes he just leaves on the table, his new sound system (I can hear every game, video, music, .. playing on his pc across 2 rooms) or the constant mass of laundry he produces.
Goal
I want to keep a healthy relationship with him and eradicate the negative feelings I get when the problems from above arise.
Summary
I guess he does not see the need of having to move out at all. If I was him I couldn't see a reason either. He lives rent-free, close to university, in a quiet area. Except for the weekends and evenings, he basically has a whole apartment to himself.
I am looking for an approach that won't hurt his feelings or force him to move out, but just to make him aware that there is a problem that needs solving. How do I correctly adress this issue and what kind of solutions can I even propose to him?
