I wonder if they should sit down with their parents and straight up ask if this is about more than just the physical act of going to church together. Is it a desire to bond? To proselytize? Just habit, an ingrained tradition that might be hard to stop for the reasons outlined above? The answer may not be directly useful, but it might get the ball rolling towards something that is, or it might lead to activities that make everyone closer and less prone to stubborn specific demands. | |
