I am from the other side of the fence as the asker requested and I talk to people who "know a lot about IT" often. But unless they are actually on my team, they can't actually know the specific systems that they need support on, and the specific knowledge is what solves the problem, not generic IT knowledge. The asker has to just go through the motions with tech support. | |
