The only thing I'd add is that the OP can (and probably should) also mention that it's emotionally draining for them to try to "be their short cut". That also adds a sort of, "I won't talk about it because of my problem," tone to it, which is truthful, polite, and appropriate. It's also much more difficult for the interested person to dismiss. | |
