The parents may have strongly held views that having children is a moral good, and therefore may be trying to convince their son to do what is right. They may also believe that having children is the best for their son. Just because they may be failing to respect their son's decision doesn't mean selfish motivations can be assumed. (The paragraph I have most trouble with is the one with the phrase "to give HER more grandchildren.") | |
